Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to bridge development and operations, ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and performant. You will work in a dynamic L4 support environment, focusing on automation, monitoring, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation using Python or Bash and IaC tools.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications on Linux platforms.
• Build and enhance monitoring and observability systems for high‑availability services.
• Develop automated solutions for incident response, capacity planning, and system recovery.
• Collaborate with development teams to continuously improve application reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on SRE or equivalent experience.
• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Python programming or Bash scripting for automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes orchestration and container technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with OpenStack is a plus.
