SOC Analyst

About the role

Rush Street Interactive is seeking a SOC Analyst to join its Security Operations team. You will monitor security platforms, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents to protect the organization’s information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM and other security tools, reviewing logs and alerts for suspicious activity.
• Investigate, classify, and prioritize security alerts, eliminating false positives and correlating with known attack patterns.
• Respond to incidents following established playbooks and maintain related documentation.
• Participate in vulnerability management and support forensic investigations when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role with relevant certifications (GSEC, GCIH, CompTIA, BTL1, BTL2).
• Experience with SOC processes, incident response, and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM management, vulnerability scanners and XDR tools.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, protocols).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework (advantage).
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (GSEC, GCIH, CompTIA, BTL1, BTL2).
