Software Engineer – AI Training (Remote)

About the role

Join Alignerr as a Software Engineer focused on AI training. You will help shape the next generation of AI coding assistants by writing, reviewing, and improving AI‑generated code. This fully remote, flexible contract lets you work on cutting‑edge AI projects while sharpening your own engineering skills.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide detailed, structured feedback explaining why code works—or doesn’t.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress‑test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently on your own schedule, collaborating asynchronously.

Required profile

• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving instincts and systematic debugging approach.
• Clear written communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working without supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
