About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Data Feeds team, you will work with a seasoned group of engineers, distributed systems experts, and security specialists to build highly scalable, secure, and reliable software that powers decentralized finance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features for Data Products, including off‑chain computation and data aggregation across multiple blockchain environments.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of data products that support the largest market share of DeFi by total value secured.
• Build core products with smart contracts using Solidity, Move, and Rust.
• Partner with the research team to create cutting‑edge solutions.
• Model attack vectors, failure scenarios, and disaster recovery in test environments and develop fixes.
• Manage architectural vision for new subsystems in the Chainlink node.
• Implement resilient distributed systems to achieve high reliability across blockchain platforms.

Required profile

• 4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a product‑driven environment.
• Experience with blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies and developing smart contracts that have secured meaningful on‑chain value.
• Strong knowledge of computer‑science fundamentals, systems design, and distributed/low‑latency systems.
• Proven ability to own multi‑month projects, communicate progress, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks with stakeholders.
• B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
