Software Engineer, Fan Engagement

About the role

Genius Sports is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Fan Engagement team. You will help build and maintain software that makes sports experiences more immersive and personalized for fans worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain high‑quality features and components.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code that follows team standards.
• Participate in system and component design discussions, offering ideas and asking thoughtful questions.
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack with guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user‑centered solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews by giving and incorporating constructive feedback.
• Identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and development practices.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and trade‑offs clearly to support team goals.

Required profile

• Experience developing professional web applications.
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals such as data structures, APIs, testing, and version control.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks while seeking input when needed.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teammates and incorporating feedback.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn and iterate.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
