Software Engineer – Generative AI Solutions

About the role

As a Software Engineer for AI Applications at Keyrus, you will design, develop, and maintain production‑ready software that integrates generative AI capabilities into enterprise systems and business workflows. You will work remotely from Colombia, collaborating with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, and client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration components supporting AI‑enabled solutions.
• Integrate LLM APIs, enterprise applications, databases, and external systems into reliable business workflows.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production‑grade software engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and support deployment and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to translate technical requirements into secure, scalable applications.

Required profile

• Hands‑on software engineer with strong experience building reliable backend services and APIs.
• Understanding of secure API design, integration patterns, testing, and production operations.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.

Required skills

• Strong programming in at least one backend ecosystem: Java/Spring, Python/FastAPI, Node.js/TypeScript.NET/C#, or Go.
• Design and development of REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with databases and data access patterns.
• Proficiency with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Git, automated testing, CI/CD, authentication, and application security.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and event‑driven architectures (nice to have).
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI) and AI‑enabled workflows (nice to have).
