About the role
The Manager, Software Development leads a cross‑functional engineering team that designs, builds, tests, deploys and supports software solutions for the Group's products and services. This position blends people leadership, delivery management and technical oversight to drive modernization of a mature enterprise platform.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop software and quality engineering team members, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
- Own delivery of product and platform roadmaps in partnership with Product Management, managing priorities, dependencies, risks and resource planning.
- Provide technical oversight across application development, databases, APIs, cloud environments and deployment pipelines, promoting best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD and secure development.
- Drive adoption of AI‑assisted engineering tools and automation to improve productivity, quality and delivery effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering, product and business teams across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, building strong stakeholder relationships across time zones.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams delivering enterprise solutions in Agile environments.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience working with distributed, multi‑regional teams.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1) and ability to lead meetings and produce technical and business documentation.

- Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- SQL Server, REST API design and development
- AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway)
- Git‑based source control (Bitbucket, GitHub) and GitHub Actions
- CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks
- Agile software development methodologies
- React, React Native
- AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini)
