Staff Accountant (AP/AR, Bookkeeping & Reporting)

About the role

A U.S.-based investment fund offering exclusive luxury property ownership experiences to investors is hiring a remote Accounting Specialist. The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping and investor invoicing across several entities, with full-time hours Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. LATAM is preferred; candidates from the Philippines and South Africa are also considered.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts payable and vendor management: process vendor invoices and payments, schedule payments, reconcile, oversee vendor onboarding and compliance including OFAC checks, and maintain vendor records for annual reporting.
• Accounts receivable and investor invoicing: prepare and issue trip-based and recurring investor invoices, track payments, apply receipts and reconcile balances, and monitor reimbursable expenses.
• Bookkeeping and general ledger: keep financial records current and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Financial reporting and audit support: help prepare monthly internal reports and support external audits with documentation.
• Compliance and process improvement: follow accounting standards and policies, and identify ways to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in LATAM, or 5+ years in South Africa or the Philippines.
• Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and spoken English; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
• Ability to work full U.S. business hours (Eastern Time).
