Staff Accountant – Crypto & Digital Asset Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role focuses on digital‑asset accounting, month‑end close and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a global crypto kiosk network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets, reconciling wallet balances with blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers.
• Perform fair‑market‑value calculations, remeasurements, position checks and proof‑of‑reserves reconciliations for digital‑asset holdings.
• Process crypto donations, rewards, incentives and hardware‑wallet activity, including Trezor and cold‑storage transactions.
• Post journal entries, complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and conduct flux analysis for month‑end close.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and support audit packages.
• Analyze accounting policies, contribute to SOP development and collaborate on cross‑functional process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least one year of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
