Staff Accountant – Nearshore (Colombia) – US CST Hours

About the role

Maventi Group is adding a nearshore Staff Accountant based in Colombia to support multiple US‑based operating entities. Working US Central business hours, you will partner directly with the CFO and US finance team to ensure accurate, timely transactional accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable across several entities: enter, code, and schedule invoices.
• Support accounts receivable: issue invoices, apply payments, and follow‑up.
• Perform daily and monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries under US GAAP.
• Maintain the general ledger with consistent coding and documentation.
• Assist with monthly close, including intercompany transactions.
• Keep audit‑ready records and organized supporting documentation.
• Flag discrepancies or unusual items to the CFO promptly.
• Support onboarding of newly launched businesses into the accounting workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably supporting US‑based companies.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP applied to day‑to‑day bookkeeping.
• Fluent, professional English (written and spoken).
• Availability to work consistently during US Central business hours.
• Reliable home‑office setup with stable internet connection.

What we offer

• Base salary $18,000 – $24,000 USD per year.
