Tax Accountant

About the role

GBS Group is seeking a remote Tax Accountant to join its multidisciplinary consulting team. You will provide expert tax guidance, prepare a wide range of U.S. tax returns, and ensure compliance for entrepreneurs and businesses operating in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client financial information and prepare reports on assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities.
• Prepare and file U.S. tax returns such as 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, 1120, 1120S, 1120F, 1065, and 5471.
• Review and process incoming documentation, including bank statements and client records, to verify regulatory compliance.
• Communicate tax matters clearly in both English and Spanish, advising clients on complex tax strategies.
• Perform additional accounting and tax‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• 5+ years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and corporate tax filings.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
