Tax Accountant – On-site in Medellín

About the role

Roca Alliances is seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join its cross‑border team supporting a global technology client. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with international, national and local tax regulations while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating compliance with international, national and local tax regulations.
• Prepare and administer federal, state and foreign tax returns.
• Maintain communication with external tax advisors and accountants for accurate tax provisions and filings.
• Respond to tax inquiries and support audits across jurisdictions.
• Calculate tax liability accruals during month‑end close.
• Monitor tax return and payment deadlines, ensuring timely documentation.
• Collaborate with accounting, legal and international teams on tax planning strategies.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional with experience in a technology company or accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
• Eager to develop expertise in global tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and external service providers.
