Tax Senior Assistant

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Tax Senior Assistant to support tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio. The role involves preparing and reviewing tax filings, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with Colombian tax regulations while working closely with senior team members and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preparation, review and submission of tax returns including VAT (IVA), ICA, Corporate Income Tax and withholding taxes.
• Prepare tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in Colombian tax legislation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as primary contact for clients, tax authorities and internal stakeholders on tax matters.
• Support and lead tax audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Align accounting records with tax reporting through reconciliations and reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and risk management.
• Guide junior team members and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 + years experience focused on tax, preferably in BPO/SSC environments.
• Strong knowledge of Colombian tax regulations (IVA, ICA, Renta, withholding taxes).
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting tax audits.
• Solid understanding of tax‑accounting reconciliation.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
