Tax Senior Assistant

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Tax Senior Assistant to support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio. You will prepare and review tax filings, maintain accurate tax records, and ensure compliance with Colombian tax regulations while working closely with senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preparation, review and submission of tax returns including VAT (IVA), ICA, Corporate Income Tax and withholding taxes.
• Prepare tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in Colombian tax legislation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a primary contact for clients, tax authorities and internal stakeholders on tax matters.
• Support and lead tax audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Align accounting records with tax reporting through reconciliations and reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance and risk management.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience focused on tax, preferably in BPO/SSC environments.
• Strong knowledge of Colombian tax regulations (IVA, ICA, Renta, withholding taxes).
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
