Technical Business Analyst – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

The Technical Business Analyst bridges ambiguous business intent with deterministic, buildable specifications for data and AI projects. Working remotely from anywhere in Latin America, you will translate messy quote‑to‑install workflows, document‑processing pipelines and master‑data validation rules into clear, testable requirements for engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Deconstruct complex business processes into EARS‑formatted requirements and Gherkin acceptance scenarios that define the Definition of Done for deterministic and probabilistic agents.
• Maintain data dictionaries, schema specifications and source‑to‑target mappings for the Bronze → Silver → Gold data pipeline.
• Translate business policies into structured, machine‑consumable rule catalogs and guardrail specifications.
• Run discovery workshops, produce traceability matrices and own UAT planning, test case creation and sign‑off.
• Collaborate daily with data engineers, AI engineers and product managers to ensure delivered solutions match the specifications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical BA, with at least 3 years on data‑intensive projects (data platforms, integrations, analytics or document processing).
• Strong SQL skills, able to profile data, write moderately complex PostgreSQL queries and validate hypotheses.
• Proven expertise in requirements engineering using formal techniques such as EARS, BDD/Gherkin, and experience with data modeling and process modeling (BPMN).
