Technical Consultant – Threat Detection Response & Intelligence

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for a Technical Consultant specialized in Threat Detection Response (TDR) to help clients protect their digital infrastructure. You will work with a hybrid cloud and AI‑focused team, using advanced cybersecurity tools to monitor, investigate and respond to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis of security events and logs from multiple data sources, correlating alerts and validating true versus false positives.
• Execute incident triage, classification and prioritisation based on risk and impact, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Analyse IOCs, threat vectors and apply threat‑intelligence feeds to enhance detection for specific clients and industries.
• Identify exploitation signals, vulnerabilities and security gaps, and collaborate on SIEM/XDR platform tuning and optimisation.
• Manage technical communication and incident escalation according to defined procedures.

Required profile

• Strong experience in advanced log and event analysis, alert correlation and deep investigation.
• Hands‑on experience with incident triage, classification, prioritisation and root‑cause analysis.
• Solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and ability to recognise exploitation techniques and security control gaps.
• Team‑oriented mindset with experience collaborating on SIEM/XDR tuning.
• Intermediate technical English communication skills.
