Track Team Lead

About the role

WSP Colombia is seeking a seasoned Track Team Lead to drive the design, construction, and delivery of complex railway and transit projects. The role combines technical leadership with client interaction, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for large‑scale rail infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary rail projects, coordinating civil, structural, utilities, geotechnical, and rail systems engineering.
• Develop and review track design, geometry, and construction methodology in line with AREMA, CPKC, TCRP, and Transport Canada standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk, delivering results on time and within scope.
• Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering technical excellence.
• Maintain direct communication with clients and key stakeholders, presenting technical solutions and progress updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s or railway certifications are a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in railway track engineering and rail transit infrastructure.
• Proven track record in technical leadership, project management, and client relationship management.
• Advanced English proficiency; French is a strong asset.

• AREMA CN Standards, CPKC Standards, TCRP Guidelines, Transport Canada requirements.
• Railway track design, track geometry, construction methodologies, inspection practices, asset management, railway maintenance requirements.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D, Corridor Modeling Tools, Bentley OpenRail Designer, Navisworks.
