Transport Dispatcher

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Transport Dispatcher to manage daily drayage and container logistics for the Northeast United States from our remote base in Colombia. The role involves monitoring container movements, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring accurate ETA updates from port arrival to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Track containers from port arrival through delivery and return to terminal.
• Provide proactive status updates and ETA confirmations to customers.
• Coordinate documentation for deliveries, returns, and port activities.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to maintain operational efficiency.
• Use Google Maps and other routing tools to estimate transit times and support dispatch planning.
• Access and manage information on port terminal websites such as Maher, PNCT, APM, and Global Terminal.
• Record all shipment details, updates, and supporting documents in the system.
• Identify and escalate any delays or issues affecting delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in drayage and container logistics.
• Background as a Transport Dispatcher, Logistics Coordinator, or similar role.
• Familiarity with Northeast USA geography and transportation routes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Port terminal platforms (Maher, PNCT, APM, Global Terminal).
• Container tracking and tracing systems.
