About the role
Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a UI Systems Designer you will own the creation of client design systems, turning brand guidelines into reusable token architecture and component libraries.
Key responsibilities
- Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that can be read by the pipeline.
- Ship core component libraries that work across entire sites, not just homepages.
- Document the system so developers or automated pipelines can execute it without questions.
- Work across several client brands simultaneously, maintaining distinct visual identities with the same structural rigor.
Required profile
- 4+ years of web design experience with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
- Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto‑layout, and variants.
- A portfolio showing different client looks while maintaining consistent underlying rigor.
- Strong English and ability to overlap with US business hours.
