WordPress Developer

About the role

Softgic is hiring a full-time WordPress Developer in Medellin. The role covers building, maintaining and optimising websites, working closely with the Design and Content teams, and using AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain websites using WordPress, including new pages, landing pages and site features.
• Work with Design and Content teams to turn business requirements into effective web solutions.
• Use AI tools such as Claude Code, Google Stitch and others to accelerate development and follow best practices for AI-assisted coding.
• Integrate and maintain connections with HubSpot and Marketo marketing automation platforms.
• Improve website loading speed, overall performance, user experience and technical SEO.
• Manage web servers, update WordPress and PHP, troubleshoot server, memory and performance issues, and monitor uptime and stability.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design on desktop, tablet and mobile, and run QA testing before each deployment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining websites.
• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor Pro; Webflow is also listed as required.
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience integrating websites with platforms such as HubSpot and Marketo.
• Experience performing website QA testing and excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to handle several projects at once in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and teamwork.
