Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Analyst, FP&A supports the Americas region within Mastercard's Business Finance Center. You will provide timely financial analysis, reporting, and process support while gaining exposure to multiple business areas and analytical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by gathering data, performing analyses, and preparing standard reports.
• Analyze financial performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify drivers, trends, and variances.
• Assist month‑end close activities, including data validation, variance analysis, and preparation of reporting inputs.
• Maintain and update financial models, templates, and reports using Microsoft Excel and approved tools.
• Prepare dashboards and management reporting materials using standard reporting and analytics platforms.
• Respond to routine requests for financial data and analysis from business and finance stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial outputs while following internal controls.
• Document processes and contribute to efficiency, data quality, and standardisation improvements.
• Collaborate with team members across regions and functions, escalating issues when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 0–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Solid foundational skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus.
• Interest in developing financial modeling, reporting, and analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to follow structured processes and meet defined timelines.
