Architect - Software Engineering

About the role

Slalom is looking for a Software Engineering Architect to join its Medellín team. You will work within a collaborative product‑engineering group, delivering high‑quality, scalable software solutions for clients undergoing digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team through design, development, and transition of full‑stack applications, aligning data, API, and UI components.
• Collaborate with other development capabilities to iteratively design, develop, validate, and operate software at scale using Agile techniques.
• Provide oversight, mentorship, and technical guidance to other engineers.
• Define implementation plans, set coding patterns and practices, and ensure alignment with project roadmaps.
• Experiment with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in building full‑stack solutions for web and native mobile platforms.
• Proven ability to evaluate multiple technical approaches and act as a velocity multiplier for the team.
• Comfortable leading design discussions and translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Commitment to high‑quality, sustainable code and collaborative development practices.
