Child Care Assistant Teacher

About the role

Join Big Blue Marble Academy as an Early Child Care Assistant Teacher and support the Lead Teacher in delivering a curriculum that broadens children’s worldviews. You will work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and facilitating daily classroom activities.
• Partner with families to nurture and care for each child’s development.
• Document children’s milestones using electronic daily tracking tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom by following enhanced safety guidelines.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with children in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• Early childhood coursework, CDA, or related degree is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lb, and supervise children continuously.
