Full Stack Software Engineer – Cloud & API Development

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a cross‑functional team responsible for the entire software development life cycle, from concept through deployment. You will work on both front‑end and back‑end components, delivering responsive web applications and robust APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
• Design and build mobile‑responsive features using modern front‑end technologies.
• Develop, test, and maintain RESTful services and micro‑service APIs.
• Write technical documentation and unit tests.
• Stay current with emerging software architectures, tools, and cloud services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with pair programming and test‑driven development.

Required skills

• JavaScript, React.js, HTML, CSS, TypeScript.
• RESTful API design and integration.
• Spring Boot and micro‑service frameworks.
• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Lambda.
• Adobe Commerce, Commercetools, or Adobe AEM (preferred).
• Unit testing tools: Jest, JUnit.
• JSON Web Token authentication.
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Git version control.
