HSE Technician – Occupational Health & Safety Inspector

About the role

We are looking for an HSE Technician to join our team in Bogotá. The role focuses on supervising and coordinating occupational health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with Colombian regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the HSE management system and legal requirements.
• Identify, report, and manage workplace risk factors.
• Authorize work permits and ATS on behalf of HSE.
• Support the implementation of occupational health and safety programmes.
• Assist in handling work‑related accidents and common illnesses.
• Participate in investigations of accidents and occupational illnesses and follow‑up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Technologist or professional in occupational health and safety with a valid HSE licence.
• Current 50‑hour SG‑SST certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• Excel (intermediate)
• SAP (preferably)
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 auditing (desirable)
• Understanding of energy management systems (desirable)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (desirable)
