Junior Data Scientist

About the role

Clara is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to help build, integrate and maintain machine‑learning models that power its payments platform across Latin America. You will work in a fast‑paced, distributed team and contribute to data‑driven decisions that improve financial products for thousands of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and maintain ML models in a production environment.
• Create clear visualisations to communicate insights to a broad audience.
• Identify data requirements together with the data‑engineering team.
• Conduct data analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaborate remotely with data engineers to ensure data availability and implement solutions.
• Document work to provide a solid knowledge base for future team members.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Strong business understanding and ability to research unknowns.
• Good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Git.
• Experience with machine‑learning frameworks such as Scikit‑learn and TensorFlow.
• Object‑oriented programming (OOP) experience.
• Familiarity with AWS and Databricks.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools like Metabase and QuickSight.
