Junior Java Engineer

About the role

You will join the Engineering team of a US‑based digital asset trading platform, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will help develop backend services and APIs that power customer products while gaining hands‑on experience with real‑world systems, scalability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of backend services and RESTful APIs under senior supervision.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented Java code following team standards.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot backend components.
• Contribute to small tasks or components within larger projects.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Product, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Write unit tests and validate functionality.
• Document technical processes and development work.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (currently pursuing is acceptable).
• At least 0.5 years of practical Java experience.
• Understanding of data structures and basic algorithm analysis.
• Familiarity with Git workflows in a team setting.
• Experience shipping code to production through review and deployment processes.
• Genuine interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain or Web3.

• Java
• RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON handling
• SQL (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY) and basic ORM usage
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL concepts
• Git (branching, pull requests, code review)
