LATAM Indirect Tax Manager

About the role

Equinix is seeking an experienced LATAM Indirect Tax Manager to lead indirect tax compliance and advisory across Spanish‑speaking Latin American markets, primarily Mexico, Peru and Chile. Reporting to the Senior Tax Director, Global Indirect Tax, you will combine hands‑on tax execution with process transformation to modernise workflows and embed tax requirements into financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own all indirect tax matters for assigned LATAM countries, including VAT/IVA, withholding taxes and other transaction taxes.
• Manage electronic invoicing and digital reporting requirements such as Mexico’s CFDI and equivalent regimes in Chile and Peru.
• Provide practical tax advice to Finance, Accounting, Billing, AP, Legal, IT and business teams.
• Translate tax requirements into operational guidance and support new business activities.
• Identify tax risks, close operational gaps and drive mitigation actions.
• Lead and coordinate indirect tax audits, reviews and tax authority inquiries, working with external advisors while maintaining internal accountability.

Required profile

• Significant experience in indirect tax within LATAM, preferably with Big 4 or multinational exposure.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT/IVA, withholding taxes and electronic invoicing regimes.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Hands‑on manager comfortable with process improvement and automation.
