About the role

Cargill is seeking a General Medical Doctor to support occupational health processes across assigned work sites in Colombia. The role focuses on delivering primary medical care, reducing absenteeism, managing work‑related accidents, and promoting disease prevention in line with Colombian health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical consultations to the workforce and refer patients to external health entities when needed.
• Prepare monthly management reports on medical activities following company guidelines.
• Implement and execute health promotion and disease prevention programs at assigned locations.
• Support occupational health management, including emergency response and follow‑up of the annual health plan.
• Perform other duties inherent to the medical profession as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (Physician) with at least one year of experience after completing the mandatory rural service, preferably in outpatient care.
• Experience in planning and executing health promotion and prevention activities according to Colombian law.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies.
• Preferred: knowledge of administrative processes and proficiency with Excel or PowerPoint.
• Preferred: certification in Advanced Life Support.
