About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Port Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Bogotá. You will act as the central hub for information flow, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth handling of import, export, and cargo movements. The role demands strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑level customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Verify and process import/export documents such as Bills of Lading, delivery orders, and customs clearance paperwork.
- Enter cargo data into terminal operating systems and customer databases, and keep stakeholders updated on cargo status.
- Coordinate with terminal operations, stevedores, shipping lines, and trucking companies to guarantee seamless cargo handling.
- Obtain dangerous cargo certificates and port permits, and prepare required driver documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, handling inquiries, complaints, and billing disputes.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cargo volumes, status, and transactions.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or operations coordination within logistics or cargo handling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (B2) and French (B2), both written and spoken.
Required skills
- Proficiency with terminal operating systems.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Strong command of the MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Zendesk ticketing platform.
