Vehicle Readiness Manager

About the role

The Vehicle Readiness Manager ensures an exceptional buying experience by overseeing vehicle quality, preparation, and delivery operations. This role leads a team of specialists, collaborates across departments, and drives continuous improvement in the delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the vehicle readiness team, setting targets and coaching Detailers and Vehicle Movement Specialists.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on vehicle preparation tasks, including lot organization, movement coordination, and repair oversight.
• Monitor daily deliveries, create reporting metrics, and review performance with store leadership.
• Control expenses related to staffing, supplies, and vendor services.
• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Service departments to enhance the customer experience.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring compliance with Tesla policies and resolving safety or people issues.
• Meet and exceed KPI, sales, delivery, and P&L targets for the location.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a service‑focused industry with a proven record of meeting or exceeding goals.
• Strong leadership experience in fast‑paced, technology‑driven environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, prioritization, and deadline‑management abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedicated, ethical approach aligned with Tesla’s mission.
