5th Grade Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to deliver the district‑approved curriculum to a diverse group of students. This full‑time, nine‑month position involves classroom instruction, curriculum planning, and active participation in school life.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the approved curriculum to assigned 5th‑grade classes.
• Plan and deliver lessons using a variety of instructional techniques and media.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and appropriate behavior.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and on field trips.
• Distribute and collect assignments, grade work, and record results.
• Assist administration in implementing school policies and rules.
• Collaborate with district specialists to support students with learning disabilities.

Required skills
