Accountant I

About the role

Cencora is looking for an Accountant I to join its finance team in Bogota, Colombia. Working under the Finance Manager – CBS Finance, you will support core accounting processes such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and fixed‑asset management while ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support country‑level reporting, including advances and special cases.
• Maintain vendor master data and perform vendor validations.
• Execute Fixed Assets processes in SAP for month‑end close and weekly CER creation.
• Perform weekly LATAM bank reconciliations for CBS transactions.
• Consolidate weekly status reports and manage monthly exchange‑rate updates in SAP.
• Validate bank access, create and adjust system entries, and conduct system reconciliations.
• Monitor pending invoices, follow‑up on payments, and generate validation status metrics.
• Control planner activities, access rights, and email/process adjustments.
• Support new projects, KPI tracking, and ad‑hoc risk investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, reporting, migration processes, and internal controls.
• High‑level English proficiency (B2) and strong interpersonal communication.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize changing workloads.
