Accounting Specialist

About the role

Amrize is seeking an Accounting Specialist to consolidate financial information from multiple Business Units across the HBE region. The role involves preparing periodic financial statements in line with GAAP and SOX requirements, ensuring data integrity and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Gather financial data from Business Units within the HBE region to create a comprehensive dataset.
• Perform validation checks on received data to minimise errors and non‑compliance risks.
• Utilise specialised tools to combine data from different Business Units, producing a unified financial outlook.
• Align the consolidation process with local and international reporting standards (SOX/GAAP).
• Prepare consolidated financial reports for stakeholders and strategic planning.
• Reconcile consolidated statements with individual Business Unit reports to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Liaise with Business Units for data collection and clarification.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist in internal audits of the consolidation process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a Record‑to‑Report (R2R) environment or financial reporting.
• Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and R2R frameworks.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level).

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements.
