Bilingual Front End ScotiaHelps Advisor (French/English)

About the role

The ScotiaHelps Advisor, Front End is a bilingual (French/English) position focused on maximizing collection recoveries for assigned credit products while minimizing costs. You will handle inbound and outbound calls across multiple countries, applying established collection methodologies to reduce delinquency and protect the bank’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct timely follow‑up on accounts in various stages of arrears, including current and written‑off accounts.
• Manage outbound and inbound calls, adhering to collection scripts and offering appropriate payment solutions.
• Classify customers, identify reasons for non‑payment, and propose restructuring, settlement or regularization plans.
• Record all interactions accurately in the collection system and provide feedback to team leaders.
• Escalate uncooperative customers to management when necessary.

Required profile

• Fluent in both French and English, with strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to persuade clients toward viable payment solutions.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
• Resilient, creative and persistent in handling problem accounts.

Required skills

• Bilingual proficiency (French & English).
• Experience with outbound/inbound call handling.
