About the role

The Country Director for Colombia will provide visionary leadership to advance IJM’s mission of protecting vulnerable populations through justice system transformation. This senior position shapes and implements the country strategy, builds high‑impact partnerships, and ensures operational and cultural alignment with IJM’s global goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a country strategy that translates IJM’s global vision into measurable impact within Colombia’s justice and citizen‑security systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of professional excellence, spiritual formation, and resilience.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government, civil society, donors, and corporate stakeholders to secure resources and drive systemic change.
• Innovate scalable models of justice system strengthening and survivor care that can be replicated across regions.
• Represent IJM publicly, using data‑driven storytelling to showcase impact and elevate the organization’s brand.

Required profile

• Proven ability to conceive and execute country strategies aligned with global mission goals.
• Strong track record of building trust‑based relationships with government, civil society, donors, and corporate partners.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in managing complex programs that integrate justice system strengthening, survivor care, and community empowerment.
• Excellent public speaking and storytelling skills.
• Deep knowledge of the Colombian justice system.
• Experience managing budgets exceeding $1 million.
