Director of Finance

About the role

SellCord is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Director of Finance to shape and scale the finance function of its fast‑growing Walmart Marketplace agency. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own financial strategy, reporting and planning while leading a distributed team of controllers, bookkeepers and AP/AR specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, acting as the primary advisor to the CEO.
• Design, implement and monitor a proactive billing process to ensure accurate and timely revenue capture.
• Oversee the QuickBooks and HubSpot integration, guaranteeing clean data flow between sales and finance systems.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting to support operational decisions.
• Lead exit‑readiness initiatives and corporate‑structure planning in partnership with external advisors.
• Establish and enforce financial controls, workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to align finance processes with growth objectives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of building finance processes from scratch and driving accountability.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment with high autonomy.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities for a distributed finance team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience integrating HubSpot (or other CRM) with accounting systems.
• Expertise in cash‑flow management, financial planning and strategic reporting.
