Financial and Business Audit Specialist

About the role

Evertec is seeking a Financial and Business Audit Specialist to join its internal audit team. You will work across the organization to evaluate financial and operational processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational audits in line with the Internal Audit Manual, performing designated tests and documenting observations.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal processes, risk management, and governance frameworks, providing actionable recommendations.
• Prepare periodic audit reports that detail findings, results, and recommendations, and communicate them to the Internal Audit Lead.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to verify corrective actions and promote accountability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support external auditors by facilitating access to key information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in internal audit, Sarbanes‑Oxley, and internal controls.
• CPA in good standing; CIA and/or CFE certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, risk management concepts, and control models.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for documenting audit findings.
