Financial Controller

About the role

The Offshore Financial Controller will lead accounting operations for a fast‑growing luxury short‑term rental platform. Reporting to executive leadership, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full month‑end and year‑end close processes for a high‑volume hospitality business.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital planning, and revenue/expense reconciliations.
• Review and approve payroll processing controls and related financial impacts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial strategy, performance analysis, and tax planning.
• Lead accounting system optimization initiatives, primarily using Sage Intacct.
• Design scalable finance processes for a large property portfolio and support onboarding of new properties.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 7‑10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior controller or equivalent role.
• Proven experience supporting U.S.‑based companies, preferably in hospitality, short‑term rental, or real‑estate environments.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.

Required skills

• Sage Intacct (or similar cloud accounting system).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
