GMP Technician – Cleanroom Operations

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment within assigned GMP‑controlled areas. The role requires strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and standard operating procedures while working closely with team members and supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean work areas and perform repetitive cleaning tasks in a GMP environment.
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures; stop at‑risk behavior.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and certified gowning procedures.
• Support shift lead by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Complete daily FN logs accurately and report maintenance issues.
• Respond to customer requests professionally and follow SOPs.
• Act as a fill‑in for other staff during shortages.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant cleaning or GMP experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (a plus).
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.
• All required safety and task‑training certifications completed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and appropriate cleaning compounds.
• Operation and upkeep of cleaning equipment.
• Gowning procedures for controlled environments.
• Chemical safety handling.
• Forklift operation.
• CPR/AED/First Aid.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, manuals, and safety documents.
