Head of Manufacturing

About the role

Camphomes is seeking a senior manufacturing leader to design, launch, and scale its new Panama factory while upgrading the existing Nicaragua plant. The role blends greenfield factory architecture, operational turnaround, and long‑term production leadership for a luxury teak home brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site selection, facility programming, layout design and equipment specification for a new Panama manufacturing plant.
• Develop capex budget, construction timeline and commissioning plan; manage consultants, architects and vendors.
• Create workforce plan, hiring strategy and training curriculum for the Panama site.
• Define production model (takt time, line balancing, WIP policies) before launch.
• Conduct a full operational diagnosis of the Nicaragua factory and implement upgrades and optimization initiatives.
• Own ongoing production across both sites, ensuring quality, repeatability and the hand‑built feel of the brand.
• Serve as a credible voice to developers, builders, plantation partners and investors.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading greenfield factory projects and large‑scale operational turnarounds.
• Strong background in luxury or high‑precision manufacturing.
• Ability to work closely with craft‑driven teams and translate design intent into repeatable processes.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with investors and strategic partners.
