IT Specialist (Remote)

About the role

Proper AI is seeking an IT Specialist to join its fully remote team. You will be responsible for onboarding and off‑boarding employees from an IT perspective, configuring hardware and software, and providing ongoing technical support to a growing workforce of accountants, managers, engineers, and sales professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and de‑provision devices, accounts, and applications for new and departing employees.
• Provide day‑to‑day IT support for 450+ users, including Windows and macOS troubleshooting.
• Manage and monitor cloud‑based antivirus solutions and ensure operating system updates are applied.
• Administer firewalls, security rules, and remote‑access tools.
• Maintain and improve the help‑desk system following best practices.
• Write clear documentation and process policies for the organization.
• Monitor devices for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
• Develop and deploy scripts to automate routine IT tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience working independently or within an IT team.
• Proven ability to manage cloud‑based antivirus and SaaS applications.
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to assist users in Spanish is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a geographically distributed, cross‑functional environment.
