L1 Analyst – First Line Cybersecurity Defender

About the role

We are seeking a curious and proactive L1 Analyst to join our GFC operations team. The role serves as the first line of defense, investigating and mitigating cybersecurity events for clients while continuously improving detection processes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the initial point of contact for security events received via tickets, email, or phone, ensuring clear communication with clients.
• Perform continuous monitoring, proactive threat searches, and vulnerability assessments using documented procedures and personal investigative instincts.
• Independently resolve technical incidents and accurately escalate complex cases to Level 2 analysts or team leaders.
• Document all actions within incident management systems and suggest improvements to processes, procedures, and security policies.
• Collaborate with local team members, external staff, and contribute to training junior analysts and interns.

Required profile

• Student or graduate in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operations environment such as a SOC or Help Desk.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1/B2) – spoken and written.
• Natural curiosity, innovative mindset, strong communication, problem‑solving abilities and adaptability.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and general web fundamentals.
