Quality Assurance Consultant - Manual Testing & Load Testing

About the role

The UN-Habitat Colombia Office is looking for an external Quality Assurance Consultant to lead manual and load testing activities, ensure compliance with UN-Habitat processes and standards, and support knowledge‑management initiatives for its urban development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing of project deliverables to verify functional correctness.
• Perform load testing to assess performance and scalability of systems.
• Review and align project processes, procedures, and standards with UN‑Habitat guidelines.
• Propose formats and procedures that enable efficient implementation of projects.
• Maintain and organize the project file system for accessibility and up‑to‑date documentation.
• Design methodologies for systematizing good practices and knowledge sharing.
• Support the formulation of substantive documents linked to UN‑Habitat thematic lines.
• Prepare reports and documentation for meetings, missions, and activities.
• Research sustainable urban development issues and collect urban status data for the Andean region.
• Assist in monitoring SDG Target 11 (sustainable cities and communities) implementation.
• Identify strategic allies and manage knowledge networks to disseminate methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Familiarity with UN‑Habitat processes, procedures, and standards.
• Proven experience in quality assurance, manual testing and load testing.
• Ability to work independently using own resources and deliver partial progress reports.
• Strong analytical, documentation and reporting skills.
• Understanding of sustainable urban development and the New Urban Agenda.
