RN Supervisor – Nursing Leadership Role

About the role

The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily nursing activities within a healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in resident care, including IV administration and skilled assessments.
• Supervise, instruct and assist LVN/LPN nurses, treatment nurses and CNAs, responding promptly to call signals.
• Conduct rounds, provide reports, and communicate with physicians, families and other health professionals.
• Oversee admission preparation, emergency response, and the implementation of care plans.
• Ensure physician orders are current, accurate and communicated to the nursing team.
• Participate in staff orientation, ongoing training, performance counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with facility surveys, quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance audits.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with supervisory experience in a long‑term care or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of nursing standards, regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with physicians, families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lead, coach and evaluate nursing staff.
