Senior Payments Engineer – Build Next‑Gen Payment Orchestration Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Payments Engineer to design and build a next‑generation payment orchestration platform. The role sits at the core of our payments ecosystem, connecting merchants, gateways, processors, and acquiring banks.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop the payment orchestration layer, including routing and gateway abstraction.
• Integrate with Adyen, Stripe, and other payment APIs to support card processing, tokenization, recurring billing, and settlement flows.
• Ensure the platform meets PCI compliance, fraud‑prevention, and risk‑control standards.
• Design scalable, reliable distributed systems and API architectures for high‑volume transaction processing.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to make critical technical decisions and own major components of the payments infrastructure.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with modern payment platforms such as Adyen and/or Stripe.
• Deep understanding of payment flows, card authorization, settlements, tokenization, and recurring billing.
• Strong background in backend engineering, API design, and building distributed, high‑throughput systems.
• Knowledge of PCI compliance, fraud prevention, and payment security best practices.
