Senior Specialist – Legal Services (Regulatory & Compliance)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Global Business Services Center (GBSC) Legal Services team. In this role you will translate complex law‑firm opinions into concise, actionable legal summaries that support product launches and market entry decisions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and synthesize detailed law‑firm opinions on regulatory matters.
• Produce clear legal summaries for internal legal and business teams.
• Ensure summaries align with Mastercard policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with outside counsel, internal attorneys, and subject‑matter experts to gather information and finalize opinions.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, focusing on quality and response time.
• Contribute to updates of Mastercard’s internal legal scans database.

Required profile

• Law degree with a license to practice (preferred) or a paralegal certificate combined with relevant experience.
• Strong background in corporate legal affairs and managing outside‑counsel engagements.
• Robust business acumen, analytical abilities, and problem‑solving skills.
• Advanced legal writing capability to convert complex opinions into clear summaries.
