Software Engineer (Video Player)

About the role

Genius Sports is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and harden its next‑generation video player. You will focus on playback performance, rendering, integrations, and delivering an exceptional viewer experience while supporting broadcast augmentation features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve the video player for high‑performance playback.
• Optimize rendering pipelines and integrate with various services.
• Contribute to broadcast augmentation tools used by the content team.
• Collaborate on video processing pipelines and content augmentation engines as the product evolves.

Required profile

• Experience in lower‑level software development, video streaming in browsers, or 3D/game graphics in browsers (at least one).
• Familiarity with streaming, timing, latency, or encrypted playback concepts.
• Interest in sports‑related media technology.
