Elementary English Language Arts Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a full‑time Elementary English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join its bilingual campus in Valledupar. You will be responsible for delivering engaging English literacy instruction to primary‑level students and supporting their overall academic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver age‑appropriate ELA lessons aligned with academic standards.
• Create detailed lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.
• Monitor student progress, evaluate work, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and contribute to school‑wide activities and professional development.

Required profile

• Strong command of English language instruction, grammar, reading comprehension and writing.
• Experience in lesson planning, classroom management and student assessment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
