About the role

Toptal is seeking a proactive Account Manager to own a portfolio of small‑and‑medium business (SMB) clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers scale their teams with top‑tier talent and ensuring long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

  • Own growth, retention and success of a diverse SMB account portfolio.
  • Develop and execute proactive account plans aligned with client business goals.
  • Conduct regular, insight‑driven check‑ins to gather feedback and uncover new challenges.
  • Identify and qualify expansion opportunities across marketing, finance and technical functions.
  • Execute tailored outreach campaigns using Salesloft cadences to showcase Toptal’s full service offering.
  • Provide ongoing guidance throughout the project lifecycle, addressing concerns with a client‑first mindset.

Required profile

  • Mid‑level professional with strong relationship‑building and consultative selling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent communication in English; resumes and correspondence must be in English.
  • Comfortable working fully remote; no visa sponsorship provided.
